How we run it

  1. Hand-over and pre-check

We check invoice, packing list and transport document for completeness and lock in form of representation, Incoterms and goods type - including CBAM scope, dual-use and sanctions screening.

  2. Classification and preference review

We determine the correct TARIC commodity code through the German electronic tariff and check whether a preferential proof (EUR.1, Form A) cuts the third-country rate.

  3. ATLAS import declaration

We file under the standard or simplified procedure via ATLAS-Import - under CCI we lodge at the office competent for your place of establishment, with presentation at the actual office of entry.

  4. T1 discharge and presentation

We discharge T1 movements from Rotterdam, Antwerp or Amsterdam at the inland customs office, coordinate with the forwarder and attend any document or physical inspections.

  5. Duty assessment and payment

We review the import duty notice for rate, calculation basis and preference application and settle payment via us, your deferment account or the customs deferred payment facility.

  6. Release and follow-up

You receive all documents for accounting and input VAT recovery. If classification or customs value errors surface later, we handle the correction, refund application or appeal.

Customs does not wait for incomplete declarations. For more than 23 years, from Emmerich am Rhein, we have made sure your goods keep moving - through Rotterdam, Antwerp or straight at the German border.

Frequently asked questions

Direct representation: we act in your name and on your account - you remain declarant and debtor of the import duties. Indirect representation: we act in our own name but on your account - we become co-declarant and jointly and severally liable. We agree the right form with you in the kick-off call (key drivers: whether you hold a German EORI or operate as a non-EU importer without an EU establishment).
With complete documents and a clean risk profile we run the ATLAS declaration within a few hours - many shipments are cleared the same day. Where document or goods inspections are ordered, permits are missing or classification or customs value need clarification, it can take one or several days. You hear from us at every status change.
Yes - every economic operator that lodges customs declarations in the EU, or has them lodged, needs an EORI number (EU-wide valid, issued in Germany by the Generalzolldirektion). If you do not have one yet, we file the application with the Generalzolldirektion for you - usually done within a few business days.
CCI (Centralised Clearance for Import) is live with ATLAS Release 10.2 since 28 February 2026. We file the declaration at the central import customs office for your place of establishment in Germany while physical presentation takes place at another EU customs office (e.g. Rotterdam or Antwerp). For importers with high volumes via NL/BE ports this is a real lever - we check with you whether CCI fits your supply chain and set the process up.
The EUR 150 customs de-minimis threshold falls away. A flat duty of EUR 3 will be charged on low-value consignments, on top of the existing VAT obligation via IOSS. If this hits you as a non-EU e-commerce importer, we work through the pricing and process impact with you and set up the flat-rate workflow inside ATLAS.
Yes - this is our day-to-day work. We open the T1 from the port of Rotterdam, Antwerp or Amsterdam and run the import clearance at the German inland customs office in the Emmerich area. You avoid congested port slots, clear close to your warehouse or customer and save demurrage.
We charge a flat fee per declaration with surcharges for extra effort (additional item lines, BAFA licences, inspection support, dual-use clarification). The exact amount depends on volume, complexity and form of representation. On request we send you a non-binding quote within 24 hrs.
